Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has successfully completed a degree at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) after a three-year academic journey. The singer, who previously paused his education to focus on his music career, returned to academia in 2021 and marked his achievement with a vibrant graduation ceremony on July 26.
Stonebwoy’s graduation was a family affair, with his wife, Dr. Louisa—a certified dentist—and their two children, Catherine Jidula and Janam, making a notable appearance at the event. The Satekla family celebrated this milestone with a special party at home following his final exam.
The artist, who initially pursued a business administration degree at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) before shifting focus to music, has expressed his passion for public administration. He believes this field is vital for contributing to societal welfare. Stonebwoy’s return to school was largely inspired by his wife, who encouraged him to continue his education and even purchased his admission forms.
In an interview with Citi TV in November 2021, Stonebwoy spoke about his decision to study public administration, highlighting his aim to make a meaningful impact beyond his musical career.
