Renowned Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name Lilwin, has been taken into custody by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command’s Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) in relation to a fatal accident involving a three-year-old boy. Lilwin had been getting treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital since the event, and he was recently released and he was arrested.
The deadly accident happened on May 25 at Amakom in Kumasi. It was a collision between another car and Lil Win’s Mercedes-Benz.
The three-year-old boy, Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah, was in his father’s automobile in the front passenger seat when the collision happened. The following day, Richard passed away in the hospital from his wounds despite efforts to save him. Lil Win was reportedly driving quickly when the crash occurred, according to witnesses. The actor and his manager were hospitalized after the incident due to their injuries. Lil Win has been released from the hospital, but his manager is still receiving treatment.
Lil Win’s physical condition was cited as the reason for the delay in his arrest; a police car was positioned at the hospital to guarantee that he could be taken into prison right away after being released. He was taken to the Manhyia Divisional Police Command, where the accident is still being investigated.
The family of the deceased has increased calls for accountability in response to the event, which has created a public clamor for justice.
Little Richard has already been laid to rest by the grieving family, and his father, Jacob Ampomah, is still in the hospital getting treatment for a broken leg he suffered in the collision.
Lil Win may face charges, but the police have not revealed any additional information. However, they have said that Lil Win will probably be processed for court soon. The public and the deceased’s family are waiting for justice about the untimely death of young Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah, and investigation is still ongoing.
