Ghanaian OAP Naa Ashorkor is back on the airwaves with Asaase Radio

Celebrated Ghanaian on-air personality Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku is back on the airwaves as she joins Accra’s latest radio station Asaase Radio, from today Monday June 29.

This  new role comes after Naa Ashorkor was fired from Multimedia for unknown reasons.

The Perfect Picture actress confirmed to Graphic Online that she would  host Asaase Radio’s mid-afternoon show dubbed ‘Between Hours’.

Naa used to host The Zoe on Starr FM, then moved on to host ‘Strong and Sassy and ‘Rhythmz A-Z’ radio programmes on Joy FM.

The mother of two told Graphic Showbiz on Monday, that she was happy to be back on air and doing what she loved to do most in her life.

“I have come to accept that God always has bigger plans for us and that was why I publicly announced it when my contract was terminated at Multimedia. I believe that my new job is another chance from God to positively use my talent to influence the society,” she said.

‘Between Hours’ is a music radio show interspersed with live listener interactions, games, sing-along sessions and according to her it is meant to put the target audiences at ease whilst ensuring they are prepped up for the rest of the day’s work.

Apart from hosting “Between Hours’ which will be a daily programme, Naa will also be the presenter for “Just Us,” an all-girls talk show every Wednesday.

Its safe to say that radio in Accra will have a soothing relief of Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku’s voice.
